Keeping Christ in CHRISTMAS!

A Season for Jesus
Islanders celebrate at Keeping Christ in Christmas
The Island is a festive place. From the annual Christmas Island Style host of activities, such as Santa’s arrival and the tree lighting, to
the House Decorating Contest with homes decked out in fantastical light displays, the holiday spirit seems boundless.
For Bobbie Lecroy-Landsdown, one thing was lacking: Christ. To foster a better understanding of the Christian spirit of Christmas, she helped
establish Keeping Christ in Christmas, a faith-based alternative to secular celebrations; something that was wholesome and
reminiscent of the “old-timey” Christmases that focused on Christ. “It would remind everyone of the true meaning of Christmas, the
birth of our Lord and Savior.”
